Cant Thank You Enough + Picture Thought

Sweetheart, I wanna apologize for not being around here as frequent as you visit. I have been traveling and trying to fix stuffs. I am hoping you understand. I will try my best to blog more frequently or can someone help me? lol. Today’s blog is inspired by how much we forget what we have while chasing what we don’t have and cannot have. We covet what other people are privileged with and then disregard our own “little” blessings. one thing is certain, we are blessed regardless what we have and do not have. As you read this post, make a decision, like I did while writing this note, to not allow pity party and comparison steal your joy away. the truth is, I am blessed regardless what you think about my condition. this is worthy or repetition. I AM BLESSED. Enjoy my post today and I dare also add that I love you so much.

I may not have money to eat @ noon

Yet I wont complain or blame God like a fool

I already have inexhaustible reasons to appreciate God

If you think I’m poor, you are on your own

I may be dime-less and jobless

I am certainly not less than those

Who can buy the world and still be rich

… I know my redeemer lives

Yes I am aware that my shoes are old and outta date

while my friends bounce on Louis Vuitton & Gucci,

But, yesterday I met a cripple

Who wished he had legs even without shoes

“Lord I don’t have enough dress”, my friend complained yesterday

Then I asked her, Have you seen those who have boxes

of the finest designer wears but don’t know the colour and style?”

Need I mention those who are too sick for fashion?

You may not have children like your neighbor, Mrs. Brown

And you’ve allowed that to affect your health and peace of mind

How soon we forget that there are people who gave birth to nuisance

And then wished they hadn’t?

Why worry over what you don’t have or never had?

Why compare yourself with Bill, Joe, Sandra?

Why deny yourself the joy of today

when you could enjoy the little you have with a smile?

Take a few minute to count your blessings

I am sure you will count from dawn to dusk and still be counting

Of course you aint where you pictured in your dreams. I aint too.

But we certainly aint where you used to be

Take a walk to hospitals, mortuaries and cemeteries

There lay people who have all that you now covet

Yet wished they are as blessed as you.

Isn’t that enough to pause and think?

Life’s a privilege my friend,

Let’s enjoy every minute of it

Because our worries over what we don’t have

Blinds us from enjoying what we already have

Now I remember the song we sing @ Nursery school

“some have food and cannot eat,

Some can eat and have no food

We have food and we can eat

Glory to God on High”
